Turn your summer skincare routine into a ritual; take your time.
We're always excited for brighter days, warmer temperatures, lighter clothing and late nights. With the change in temperature, also comes a change in skin. Whether you live in humid areas like Lagos or really dry areas like Colorado, your skincare routine needs a little tweaking to have the most breakout free summer.
Here are some of our go-to tips and products to have smooth glowing skin, all summer long:
Stay Hydrated
This is one of the easiest, most cost-effective, yet least practiced ways to improve your skin. Drinking water throughout the day not only helps you achieve brighter, more youthful skin over time but also helps you keep a normal body temperature, which is a must as the temperatures start to rise.
This exfoliating net, also know as a Sapo, or bathing sponge, is perfect for bathing and is used to gently exfoliate the skin by removing dead skin cells.
Neutrogena Body Clear Acne Body Wash
Our go-to body wash because it contains 2% salicylic acid, known to unclog pores, prevent product buildup, and dissolve oils. The body wash also contains Vitamin C, a necessary ingredient for skin and body care that prevents sun damage, helps slow early skin aging and improves the appearance of wrinkles, dark spots, and acne. Be sure to use this body wash only on breakout prone areas, as it may cause excessive dryness.
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
This toning solution from The Ordinary is the holy-grail for skin. After washing your body, pour this toning solution into a spray bottle and spray all over your body; be sure not to skip your back. This solution offers a mild exfoliation that when used over time, improves the appearance of skin.
ILERA Apothecary Moisturizing Body Butter
This body butter contains a ton of beneficial ingredients like, shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamin E oil, great for dark spots and uneven skin tone.
